Confessions of a Pregnant Gal
I find myself making "confessions" to other pregnant women about all the weird things that I do and figured that other people may get a kick out of them as well....
1. Sometimes I eat or drink something sugary with the hope that I will get a little "thank you" kick from the baby. It works about half of the time.
2. I clean weird things. And by weird I mean things like the kitchen garbage can inside & out or all the light switches in the master bathroom.
3. I obsessively check my registry to make sure that I haven't forgotten any key items...or accidently deleted something.
4. I sit in the nursery and rock in the glider looking at the walls and planning where I'm going to put things. I change my mind pretty much every time I go in there.
5. I freak out that some celebrity (ahem, Snookie or Kim Zolciak) is going to steal my baby name in the next few months. Thankfully Jessica Simpson is planning to name her baby after a feminine product - Maxi!

Gender Reveal Party
Ever since we broke the news to our families that we were expecting, we couldn't wait to find out the gender of Baby Kalins. In fact, Brad pretty much asked at every appointment if they could tell the gender. Over the past year or so, I kept reading about people doing gender reveal parties with family and friends and I used to think they were over the top. It didn't take me long to change my mind about these parties once I was the one expecting. We invited our families to come over the evening of our 20 week ultrasound dressed in blue for boy or pink for girl. It was a memorable night for everyone.
Here are a few highlights:
With the exception of Brad's mom, everyone was dressed in Blue - thinking Baby Kalins was a boy.
We filled this box with a bunch of pink balloons for the big reveal.
Special cake filled with pink or blue filling for another fun reveal
Our niece Alex helped Uncle Brad open the special box
Everyone was surprised to see that the box was filled with Pink balloons and not blue!
Baby Kalins is a GIRL!!!
