Mini...I mean...Minnie Birthday Shoot

Here are some favorites from a Minnie Mouse-themed birthday photo shoot I did for Alex & Reese.  Both girls love Minnie Mouse and will be celebrating their birthdays just a few days apart (Alex - 3 & Reese - 1) with the style & cuteness of Minnie Mouse.  As always, their hip mama Dina was the stylist for this shoot and found these cute custom outfits on Etsy.  These photos will be used for the party invitations and the girls will be wearing these outfits at their party.

Block of Time

One of my longest running craft projects that I make is the personalized baby blocks.  Grace Archer had her first birthday this week and was the latest recipient of these special blocks.

G block's theme was "New Orleans/Louisiana Pride" as a nod to Grace's mom Nicole's roots.  This block included a Fleur de Lis, LSU Tiger, Saxophone, and Mardi Gras mask.
R block's theme was Jungle Animals complete with a monkey, lion, giraffe, and elephant.
A block's theme was 4 Seasons including a snowman, spring flower, smiling sun, and fall leaf.
C block's theme was Farm Animals including a horse, pig, chicken, and sheep.
E block's theme was Chicago - a nod to where Grace's parents met & where she is living now.  The block includes a city skyline, Bears logo, Cubs logo, and a Chicago style pizza.
Here is the flip side of the letters.

Sarah's Chicago Baby Shower

This weekend was Sarah's Chicago Baby Shower and it was tons of fun!
Mama Sarah looking fabulous at 33 weeks

 My co-host Nicole and Grace

All the guests worked hard on our game - Give Baby Girl Thakur a middle name.  The ladies had to use the letters in "Sarah & Jay Thakur" to come up with different names.  We had some fun suggestions - Rash, Jaya, Aaah, Raaa, Akura.  We gave 2 prizes - one for the most names created and another for the most creative.  The winner for the most names came up 23 unique names and the other winner came up with "Hurray."

You're gonna be a great mom Sarah!
